Today we continue to build on those same fundamentals set forth by our founder in 1954, and have successfully remained a leader in our industry.
FLEMING FAMILY HISTORY
In 1954, Mannas Fleming founded Fleming Asphalt Company which primarily focused on providing asphalt paving services. We take pride in the fact that Fleming Construction was the 935th construction company to be awarded it’s contractor’s license in the state of Louisiana.
In 1970, Mannas’ son, Jack Fleming, took over as president and grew the company from solely asphalt services to include concrete and underground utilities. Jack currently sits as chairman of the company.
In 2010, Jack’s son, Jack Jr. took over as President and CEO of the company. Under his leadership, Fleming Construction continues to grow in its strong values and work ethic.
Also in 2010, Jack Jr’s sister, Jana Fleming Katz, took over as the CFO of the company. Together, Jack and Jana have grown the company substantially and continue to incorporate a wider variety of construction services.
In 2015, Jack Jr.’s son, Benjamin Fleming, began working at Fleming Construction as a Project Manager. He received his Masters in Construction Management and is eager to help the company grow.
In 2019, Jana’s son, Mason Katz, transitioned his career to begin working at the company as a Project Manager. He and Benjamin continue to learn and grow the business.
